My Beauty Favorites – This spring

Well, time is running so I thought it was about time to show you my beauty favorites at the moment…

Untitled-1

Let’s start the “beauty-ride” 🙂

“My favorite Facial Cleaning products

I’ve been a fan and I’m still a fan of Kanebo Sensai products.

Almost all my facial skincare products are by Kanebo Sensai… without the 2 eye creams, that you can read about later in this post.

The cleaning solution is simply amazing. I SO much love it.  The Cleaning Oil (Step 1) cleanses in deep without drying out my skin and the fragrance in it is so nice… I cannot live without it anymore.

I use the cleaning oil every morning and evening as well.

The Creamy Soap I only use in the evening after the Cleaning oil – it ensures an extra deep thoroughly cleaned skin – and the silk in the products helps your skin to be as smooth and nice as possible.

“My favorite Eye creams

When it comes to eye creams I have search in ages for an eye cream that contains the benefits I seek.

For half a year I’ve been using the AHAVA Extreme Firming Eye Cream… and actually there’s not much to say. It’s firming, it’s illuminating – it’s amazing! It’s full of good stuff from the Dead Sea – and that really works for me!

Also I fell in love with the Eye Gel by Tromborg which helps me with dealing with tired and stressed eye area. Tromborg’s Eye Gel is a serum that settles effectively around the delicate eye surroundings. It moisturizes and cools; simultaneously it lifts and eliminates puffiness.

Actually I use both eye products… I use the Eye Gel by Tromborg both mornings and evenings and I use the Firming Eye cream only in the mornings as this specific product contains an illuminating effect that brightens up my eye area immediately – so it’s an effect that I do not need for my night’s sleep 🙂

As I like my eye creams as cold as possible – to provide an extra cooling effect, I always keep the creams and gels in my fridge. This I really recommendable you to do – no matter what kind of eye cream it is.

I said it before and I will say it again… if your eye cream is in your bathroom or bedroom room right now – then hurry up and put it in your fridge. You’ll for sure feel a difference, when you apply it tomorrow morning.

“My Eye makeup favorites”

I do not use eye shadows often, so my focus is in lining up my eyes. My favorites pencils are:

Smooth Silk Eye pencil by Giorgio Armani as it’s easy to use as the hard-/softness of the pen is just perfect. As it is a pen, it offers a matte look.

Also I’m quite fund of the Eye brow defining pencil – also by Giorgio Armani.

I’m still a HUGE fan of the They’re real Mascara by Benefit cosmetics, but as you might have experienced yourself – it’s very difficult to remove again. Therefore I’ve tried to find a substitute that’s easier to remove in the evenings… and I found a rather good substitute I think so. It’s the Dramatic Mascara by & Other Stories. It also offers (like the They’re Real Mascara) a false lash effect but the mascara is so much easier to remove in the evenings. So now I stick with my Dramatic Mascara for the weekdays and the They’re real Mascara when I’m going out in the evenings or in weekends.

“Face makeup favorites”

The Compacting Bronzing Powder – Matt Finish – by Nilens Jord has become an all-time favorite. It’s simply an amazing powder. I use the light version and it suits my light skin perfectly all over and leaves my skin with a beautiful and silky soft finish. Also worth mentioning is that the powder is both parabens and perfume free.

The Prodigy Liquid Bright Eye Opener (smoothing illuminator) – By Helena Rubenstein I use as a facial highlighter – It’s liquid and very easy to use and therewith brightens up the areas I want within seconds – very easy product to use with great results.

I don’t use foundation everyday – so for me a concealer and a good powder are essential.

My favorite concealer is the High Precision Retouch concealer by Giorgio Armani. It covers not to much – not to little and yet refreshes the skin with a bright light.

Nails nails nails…

The Swedish company IsaDora is for me a real 80s brand – but I must admit, their nail products are great! I have not tried other IsaDora products yet, but I might need to, as I’m blown away of their nail polish. It’s the easiest nail polish I ever worked with at it lasts SO much longer than nail products from all other expensive brands I’ve tried in the past – and we are talking about Essie, Chanel, YSL etc… So, since I tried the IsaDora nail polish first time 3 month ago and with the results I experienced, I always start looking for colors at their shop before seeking at other brands… because I think it’s the best nail color product I’ve tried so far.

“Body Body Body favorites”

I LOOOOVE body oils. Fit’s my skin perfectly both summer and winter. But I only use body oil immediately after a bath – or else it’s not easy for your skin to obtain it. For years I’ve been using the Bobbi Brown beach oil. I love the design of the product, love the fragrance of the oil and I’m a very happy customer overall in regards to this product.

AND REMEMBER TO EXFOLIATE your skin. It is important to exfoliate so do not ignore the message ( 🙂  )…  or else your moisturizer or oil simply cannot penetrate your dead skin cells… so yes, you need to get rid of them.

“Finally, the hair…

Well, it’s difficult to recommend hair products and it SO much depends on the type of hair you can be proud of having…

My hair is thin and gets boring easily – instead of lively as others with thin hair experience. Therefore I focus on products that provides me with volume and texture in a natural way. At the moment my favorites are

  • the Marine Salt-based Light hold spray with opaque effect – by Davines
  • the Wizard No-10 Universal Polishing Coat – by Davines
  • and in regards to powder – my new “shit” is the Styling powder by Kevin Murphy
